Rachel Jane has always dreamt of becoming an author of childrens books and used to work with children of pre school age. Whilst doing this she decided to follow her dreams and create her first series of childrens books with the help of illustrator Jamie Flack (who also happens to be her cousin!)
"I found the fact that a lot of classic car owners create characters & personalities for their vehicles very interesting. I loved that across social media accounts they would name their vehicles and document their adventures, often from the view point of their vehicles!
The idea for the Red Hatch Camper van series of books hit me, as each of the campers have their own personalities and are loved by so many people. The books are aimed for children in primary education aged 4-7 and they are bright and colourful and fun to read.
I have had such a great time creating these stories and being able to work alongside family to achieve my dream has been brilliant!"
